CSA - Community Supported Agriculture
Community Supported Agriculture is a movement that began in Massachusetts in 1985 to create a partnership between farmers and their consumers. The Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch is starting our own CSA that we like to call TP5 - The Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch Produce Project! (That's a mouthful) Most fresh fruits and vegetables purchased in the United States today have to travel an average of 1,400 miles between the fields in which they are grown, and the kitchen tables on which they are consumed. CSA’s mission is to create a connection between people and the healthy food they eat and the land on which it is grown.
